When I'm at work at Radio Shack, there's not much to do but goof around with the RC cars we stock...so when I got really bored today, I went by and bought one of the ones we have on sale, along with some parts to fix it up a bit...We have different motors to put in them, different suspension systems, an all-whell drive kit, upgraded bearings, body kits, packs of vinyl graphics, LED headlights, taillights, and ground effects, better tires, etc.
These cars have quite a following of modders, people who have made the doors/hood open, added more batteries to up the voltage to the motor, custom paint jobs, homemade lighting kits, and the like. I just bought the car itself, the custom bodykit (taking it apart and mixing and matching, of course), and some vinyl sheeting to design and make that swoop on the side.
I plan on eventually getting a couple of them, customizing them fully, and building a small racetrack in my basement...they're just so fun to tinker with.
